CHANDIGARH: The valedictory functions of three Online Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDPs) were conducted here on Saturday on different timings.
These programs were sponsored by Directorate of Industries, Chandigarh and conducted by Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development for the students of Post Graduate Government College for Girls - Sector 42, Post Graduate Government College - Sector 46 and Shri Guru Gobind Singh College-Sector 26, Chandigarh. In total, 330 students of these colleges have participated in EDPs.
Jagjit Singh PCS Director (Industries), UT, Chandigarh graced the valedictory functions as “Chief Guest” for all the three programs.
The objective of the programs was to motivate the candidates to opt for Entrepreneurship and start their micro and small ventures by availing facilities under different schemes of Government.
In his address, Mr. Jagjit Singh congratulated the participants for successfully completing the programs and motivated them to go for the Entrepreneurship and become job providers instead of job seekers.
Paramjit Singh, Director, RCED, talked about the need and importance of starting own ventures by the students by availing facilities through various Government schemes to promote MSME.
Principals of the respective colleges Dr. Kamlesh Bajaj, sector- 46, Mrs. Nisha Aggarwal, Sector-42 and Mrs. Sarabjit Kaur sector-26 had graced the functions with their presence as Guest of honor. Faculties for the programs were drawn from various Departments and Banks
