Punjab Cong spokesman GS Bali resigns, calls Capt Amarinder's Mission 13' a farce

CHANDIGARH: Senior Congress leader and spokesman of the party Gurvinder Singh Bali has resigned from all posts of PPCC for denial of party ticket from Anandpur Sahib Lok Sabha constituency. Bali was also general secretary of PPCC.Congress has fielded former minister Manish Tiwari from Anandpur Sahib.

Bali who claims he was assured allotment of ticket by party high command, said Manish Tiwari has no contribution for Punjab as he is Delhi based leader. He said that Capt Amaerinder Singh was misleading the party high command and fact is that his Pakistani friend Aroosa Alam in calling shots in allotment of tickets. She is also taking administrative decisions in the government, he alleged.

Bali said that Manish Tiwari was in touch with BSP after he was denied ticket from Chanidgarh seat. Tiwari has no base in Anandpur Sahib, he added. He said that Tiwari had never applied for the ticket from Anandpur Sahib and he was the person who had refused to contest from Ludhiana in 2014 due to fear of defeat. Bali also said that party high command was interested to give tickets to local party workers but Capt Amarinder Singh played mischief.

Bali said that Capt Amarinder Singh's 'Mission 13' is a farce and he was fielding week candidates for reasons best known to him. He said that he would expose many other 'misdeeds' of Capt Amarinder Singh in the coming days. He said that wrong decisions of Capt Amarinder Singh will harm Congress in Punjab. He said that Dr.Amar Singh who served as IAS in Madhya Pradesh was given ticket from Fatehgarh Sahib. He said that other Congress leaders may also resign from party.

Bali said that OBC fedration has decided to field its own candidate from Anandour Sahib.
