CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Tuesday condoled the sad demise of the Chairman, Nawab Jassa Singh Ahluwalia Trust and President of Punjab Nursing Colleges Association Charanjit Singh Walia (61), who passed away in a private hospital at SAS Nagar (Mohali) this afternoon after battling Covid for over two weeks. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
In a condolence message, the Chief Minister described Charanjit Singh Walia as a fine human being with the qualities of head and heart besides a social worker, an educationist and a film producer, who made an enormous contribution towards the welfare of the society.
Sharing his heartfelt sympathies with the members of bereaved family, friends and relatives, the Chief Minister prayed to the Almighty to give courage to bear this huge loss in this hour of grief and grant eternal peace to the departed soul.
