MOHALI: Rayat Bahra University, School of Engineering and Technology, Department of Electronics and Electrical conducted "Traffic Tech, " an insightful event focused on the theme "Innovating Mobility: Driving the Future of Traffic Technology."
Inaugurating the event University Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra said future mobility technology encompasses advancements like autonomous driving, electric vehicles, connected mobility, and shared mobility services, aiming for a more sustainable, efficient, and user-centric transportation system.
Dr Anmol Goyal, Dean of the University School of Engineering and Technology, welcomed the Chief Guest Amardeep Singh Rai, Additional DGP Traffic, Punjab.
Rai speaking on the occasion said the shift towards electric vehicles (EVs) and hydrogen fuel cell technology could help reduce emissions and promote sustainable transportation. This would lead to cleaner air, reduced reliance on fossil fuels, and lower running costs.
Avinash Rai Khanna, former Member of Parliament, who was Guest of Honour, shared valuable insights on the future of traffic management and smart mobility.
Dr Satish Kumar Bansal also graced the Event. Vote of thanks by Er Sonal Sood, Head of the Department of EC/EE, proposed a vote of thanks.
