MOHALI: Rayat Bahra University, School of Physiotherapy and Radiology (USPR) successfully conducted a Free Physiotherapy Checkup Camp at the Physiotherapy OPD, USPR. The camp aimed to provide free physiotherapy consultations, posture assessments, and rehabilitation guidance to faculty, staff, and students, promoting musculoskeletal health and overall well-being.
This significant initiative was held under the leadership of S. Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of Rayat Bahra University and chairman Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions. The event was chaired by Prof. (Dr.) Lalit Gupta, Dean, USPR, who played a pivotal role in ensuring its successful execution. Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Bansal, Dean Academics, and Mr. Arun Yadav, Deputy Director, provided key advisory support, reinforcing the academic and professional significance of the camp.
A total of 80 patients from Rayat Bahra University were examined and treated by a team of experienced faculty. They conducted thorough physical assessments and offered personalized consultations for back pain, neck stiffness, and posture-related discomfort. Special emphasis was placed on ergonomic awareness, particularly for individuals in sedentary work environments. Participants received tailored guidance on preventive measures, corrective exercises, and rehabilitation strategies.
The camp received highly positive feedback, reinforcing the need for such proactive healthcare initiatives. USPR looks forward to organizing similar programs in the future to further support the well-being of the university community.
