CGC Mohali, Jhanjeri Hosts Global Education Conclave 2025

MOHALI: Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Mohali, Jhanjeri, hosted the Global Education Conclave 2025, an international-level event that brought together more than 100 special delegates from over 50 countries. Visionary leaders from around the world engaged in discussions focusing on education, sustainability, digital transformation, and international cooperation, fostering a platform for global thought leadership. While in the past few decades, students from Punjab aspired to pursue education abroad, Punjab itself has now emerged as a key hub for global academic exchange.

The conclave was graced by the presence of distinguished diplomats and ambassadors, including H.E. Prof. Anil Sooklal, High Commissioner, High Commission of the Republic of South Africa, Michael Pal, Cultural Director, Embassy of Austria, Ms. Bohloeki Tlhaku Morojele, First Secretary, High Commission of the Kingdom of Lesotho, Edson Moyo, Minister Plenipotentiary, Embassy of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Tsiory Andriamparaniarivo Randrianarivony, Counsellor, Embassy of Madagascar, Beatrice Ngaunje, Secretary, High Commission of the Republic of Malawi, Ms. Vanessa Adrianne Espinosa Aguirre, Head of Culture and Education, Embassy of Mexico, Ms. Maria Jose Gomez Arrieta, Counsellor, Embassy of Venezuela, Abel Dungui Mavungo, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of the Republic of Angola , Ulziit Luvsanjav, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Mongolia, Essomba Zang Yves Mathieu, Counsellor, Cameroon High Commission.

Additionally, representatives from Kenya High Commission, Venezuela Embassy, Cameroon High Commission, Ukraine Embassy, Togo Republic High Commission, South Africa Republic High Commission, Austria Embassy, and Mexico Embassy, along with delegates from the USA, UK, Australia, France, Venezuela, the Philippines, South Korea, and many other countries, elevated the international stature of the event, emphasizing the importance of shaping international educational collaborations.

As part of this global conclave, significant international academic cooperation agreements were signed between various educational institutions worldwide. These agreements will facilitate student and faculty exchange programs, joint research initiatives, and innovative academic collaborations.

Furthermore, a series of panel discussions, keynote addresses, and networking sessions led the way in addressing key proposals related to international education, student mobility, faculty exchange, and collaborative research, marking a significant step toward fostering global educational partnerships.
