Incense Sticks Making and Solid Waste Management Workshop at KCE

AMRITSAR: Khalsa College of Education (KCE), Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar under the banner of Environment Education Programme, sponsored by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, in collaboration with Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, Chandigarh, under the aegis of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, GoI, organized a workshop on Incense Sticks Making and Solid Waste Management. The workshop aimed to promote environmental awareness and provide hands-on training to participants in eco-friendly practices.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and teachers. The workshop began with a session on incense sticks making, where participants learned about the art of creating fragrant incense sticks using waste flowers. The resource person demonstrated the process of preparing incense sticks. An another session focusing on solid waste management, emphasized the importance of proper waste disposal and recycling.

Expert Dr. Rajan Sharma, Founder & CEO, Eco Awaken Foundation, discussed innovative methods for reducing, reusing, and recycling waste, and participants were engaged in interactive discussions and activities. This workshop was a step towards achieving our goal, and we are grateful to our sponsors and collaborators for their support. The workshop successfully achieved its objectives, empowering participants with knowledge and skills to adopt eco-friendly practices. The event fostered a sense of community and encouraged participants to become environmentally conscious citizens.
