AMRITSAR: Khalsa College Governing Council’s Honorary Secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina today condoled the demise of philanthropist and industrialist Ratan Tata. He said Ratan was a ‘true rattan’ (Real Jewel) of the nation who gave new meaning to the industry’s public orientations and pursuits.
He said with the demise of Ratan Tata, former Chairman of Tata group, we have lost a visionary, humble and patriotic face of the industry in the country. “The business community and nation is general remembers Ratan as he was a true beacon of philanthropy and was devoted to service of mankind”, said Chhina adding that the departed soul had inspired numerous young entrepreneurs who have now been emerged as top-class business houses globally.
He said Ratan Tata always came forward to help the citizens of the country in every natural or unnatural calamity in the country and contributed immensely during the Covid time and offered help for rural development. “Tata was a great industrialist, who took the Tata group to a top position not only in India but across the entire globe”, said he.
Meanwhile the staff and the students of the Post Graduate Department of Commerce at Khalsa College paid rich tributes to Ratan Tata. Principal Dr.Mehal Singh called him a man of decency and dignity and utmost compassion. HoD Dr.AK Kahlon expressed condolences, saying such human beings becomes immortal due to their deeds while Dr. Deepak Devgan mourned the loss and said that just Ratan Tata was an 'Anmol Ratan'. Dr. Sawraj Kaur, Dr. Poonam Sharma, Dr. Ajay Sehgal and other faculty members were also present.
