KAITHAL: The meeting of Kisan Sabha District Kaithal was held at Bhagat Singh Bhawan Kaithal under the chairmanship of District president Jasbir Singh. The meeting was conducted by District Secretary Satpal Anand. In the meeting, it was decided to take out tractor motorcycle march in all the tehsils on January 26 for the next step of farmers' movement on the national call.
Kisan Sabha leaders Jasbir Singh, Satpal Anand, Balbwant Rai Dhanauri told that a meeting of the front was held yesterday in which proceedings of the Tohana Kisan Mahapanchayat of January 4 was reviewed and gratitude was expressed for making the Mahapanchayat successful. Kisan Sabha Kaithal has called for continuing the protest against the new agricultural market policy in every village. Along with this, on the national call, Kisan Sabha has planned to take out a tractor parade on January 26 at the tehsil level across the state.
Through the Kisan Parade, a demand will be made from the Prime Minister to immediately discuss with all the struggling farmer organizations and save the life of Jagjit Singh Dallewal, immediately withdraw the anti-farmer National Agriculture Market Policy, guarantee the rate of C2+50%. Make a law of MSP along with procurement, farmers and farm labourers .Make a comprehensive plan for loan waiver, stop privatization of electricity, cancel smart meter scheme .In the meeting, the immediate problems of the farmers, demands for compensation for the crops damaged due to rain and hailstorm in the past days, release of pending insurance claims and release of pending compensation from the Revenue Department with immediate effect were also raised.
A demand was raised for the state government to deposit Rs 2, 000 towards drought relief to the farmers who have outstanding dues and to withdraw the policy of harassing the farmers in the name of the portal. Satpal Anand and Comrade Prem Singh were also present in the meeting.
