KAITHAL: The special detective unit has arrested an accused who fired at woman running a beauty parlor in Pundri During the press conference, DSP Gurvindra Singh, while giving information, said that according to the complaint of Urmila, a woman who runs a beauty parlor in Guru Brahmanand Colony Pundri, she runs Hair Style and Beauty Parlor with her husband and brother -in -law Manjeet for the last 8/9 years.
About 4/5 years ago, son of her husband's uncle Birbal worked on her salon. Due to the criminal acts, he was caught by the police several times, due to which she removed Birbal from the shop. Because of which he started keeping her enraged and many times he also quarreled with her.
At around 1.30 pm on March 21, Birbal came to her salon and started assaulting her brother -in -law Manjeet also came there after hearing the noise. Meanwhile, Birbal pulled out a pistol from his trousers and fired on her with the intention of killing him, which came out after touching his neck. The accused escaped from the spot, threatening to kill him.
A case was registered in police station Pundari. The DSP said that SP Rajesh Kalia had ordered the Special Detective Unit to arrest the accused as soon as possible. Birbal, a resident of village Matarwa Khedi, was arrested by team of ASI Tarshem, led by Special Detective Unit Incharge SI Ramesh Kumar from the outer Assandh Road district Karnal.
During interrogation, the accused confessed that he was jailed during the year 2016 in case of a bike stolen from Karnal and in the case of assault in Kurukshetra during the year 2023. Due to which his brother and sister -in -law refused to hire him at the salon. That is why he started keeping enmity with him. He went to salon with a friend with the intention of killing his sister -in -law on 21 March and fired to kill her. During a comprehensive interrogation, the accused along with his other associates confessed to carrying out 14 other snatching incidents in Kaithal and Karnal area from 2023 to 2025.
