CHANDIGARH: Former Cooperation and Jail minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa is expected to be choice of AICC president Sonia Gandhi for the post of Chief Minister of Punjab after resignation by Captain Amarinder Singh.

The CLP meeting held here at Congress Bhawan has unanimously authorised Somia Gandhi to name new CLP leader. It is expected that Randhawa would be nominated new Chief Minister. Navjot Sidhu understood to have agreed on his name.
