NAKODAR: The Mehatpur police have booked unidentified persons for alleged illegal sand mining.

The Station House Officer (SHO) Lakhvir Singh that the police have received and information that Josan mining company is indulging in illegal mining at Kaimwala khud .He said the police reached on the spot and seized fake documents issued by the company to a tractor trolley and which proved that theft was being committed.

SHO said that a case has been registered under section 21 of the Mines Act and section 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and section 379(theft) of the IPC has been registered against the unidentified accused.
