Thousands pay homage to former ADGP Ishwar Chander

PHAGWARA: Thousands converged at Village Rurrka-Kalan near Goraya today to pay homage to former Additional Director General of Police Ishwar Chander Sharma, who died after prolonged illness at his native village Rurrka-Kalan  near Goraya on December 25.

Scores of senior Police officers besides leaders from various political parties and people from various walks of life paid homage to the departed soul. Prominent amongst those who were present included Former DGP Mahal Singh Bhullar,  S.K. Sharma, J.P.Virdi, Anita Punj, VK Meena, Bakshish Ram, DGP intelligence V.K. Bhawra, Rajan Gupta,D.R.Bhatti, High Court Justice R.S.Attri, ADGP Ishwar Singh,  SK kalia, SSP Navjot Singh Mahal,Rajinder Singh,Chief Judicial Magistrate Amritsar Aprajita Joshi, Congress MP Satokh Singh Chaudhary, Sukhpal Khera, Former Union Minister Santosh Chaudhary, Mahinder Singh Kaypee,Nimisha Mehta, DSP Davinder Attri and Aman Kumar. Most of the prominants while paying homage described the departed soul as example in police force who fought with terrorism in black days of the state. He is survived by his wife and two Sons who both are serving in the police.
