The death anniversary of Bhai Satwant Singh and Bhai Kehar Singh was observed at Sri Darbar Sahib

AMRITSAR: On the death anniversary of Bhai Satwant Singh and Bhai Kehar Singh at Gurdwara Jhanda Bunga Sahib located in Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib Sri Darbar Sahib .

After the bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib , Hazuri Ragi Bhai Gurdev Singh of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib joined the congregation with Gurbani Kirtan. The prayers were offered by Bhai Baljit Singh and Pawan Hukamnama Singh Sahib Giani Gurminder Singh gave Sarvan.

Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Singh Sahib Giani Gurminder Singh said that martyrs are the capital of the nation, it is our national duty to remember them. He said that in 1984, the then Congress government demolished Sri Akal Takht Sahib by military attack and martyred many innocent people. Bhai Satwant Singh, Bhai Beant Singh and Bhai Kehar Singh took revenge for this and raised the head of the Sikh community by correcting the Prime Minister of that time and achieved martyrdom. These are the great martyrs of the nation, who will always be remembered.

During the event, Singh Sahib Giani Gurminder Singh, members of the Shiromani Committee and officials gave Guru Bakshish siropao to Bhai Variam Singh, brother of Shaheed Bhai Satwant Singh and Bhai Kehar Singh's family, including Bibi Gurpreet Kaur.
