Powercom engineers to resort to non-co-operation

CHANDIGARH: PSEB Engineers Association has threatened to resort to noncooperation with the management from July 2 in case their genuine long pending demands are not resolved immediately.

Ajaypal Singh Atwal said that the main demand of the engineers are a grant of starting scale of 18030/- to new engineers, restoration of the NPS share of 14%, so that the edge of power sector employees over Punjab government is not lost, restoration of the IT facilities,
restoration of generation incentive to thermal engineers and employees as per the previous methodology, and constitution of the Wage Formulation Committee.

Association showed its concern over the shortage of essential material required for paddy season. and demanded that material procurement to be expedited so that sufficient material is available in stores.

In case the management fails to resolve these issues the agitation program will be further intensified.
