CM condoles demise of former deputy speaker Bir Devinder Singh

CHANDIGARH: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday condoled the sad demise of former Deputy Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha Bir Devinder Singh.

The Chief Minister said that Bir Devinder Singh ji made a valuable contribution to the development of Punjab while serving in various capacities and his demise has left a void that will be tough to fill.

Sharing his grief with the bereaved family, relatives and loved ones, the Chief Minister prayed to the Almighty to grant strength to the family in this hour of grief and for the spiritual peace of the departed soul.

Bir Devinder Singh today passed away in PGI Chandigarh where he was admitted due to some ailment. Punjab News Express Editor Satinder Bains expressed condolence over the demise of Bir Devinder Singh who was an upright political leader and a noble human being.

Meanwhile, PPCC president Raja Warring and former minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa also condoled the death of Bir Devinder Singh.
