FEROZEPUR: In view of Assu Navratri Mela being celebrated from October 7 to 14 in Chintpurni, the district administration has issued Kovid-19 SOP by him.

Pilgrims will be allowed to visit on foot. Havan, Yagya and gathering will not be allowed in the temple. Pilgrims will not be allowed to visit without a darshan slip and the symptoms of Kovid-19 will be checked at designated places. Pilgrims will be allowed to stay in the Dharamshala with 50 per cent capacity. Darshan of Maa Chintpurni can be done throughout the day and the temple will be closed for only one hour from 11 pm to 12 noon during the fair.
Bhajans, kirtans, satsangs, bhagwats and other religious ceremonies will be banned in the temple. Due to the congestion, temporary shops will not be able to open in the Chintpurni area and only dry prasad can be offered. Devotees will not be allowed to sit, stand or wait in the temple. Pilgrims will not be allowed to carry the flag in the temple, the flag can be hoisted only at the places specified by the temple authority.


Only devotees without covid symptoms will be able to enter the temple after medical examination at the prescribed points, while those with covid symptoms will be allowed to enter the temple.

A constant social distance of 6 feet has to be maintained at all times while going to worship Maa Chintpurni. In addition, other Kovid 19 instructions must be followed. Devotees will not be allowed to touch idols, religious books, bells, etc. inside the temple. People over the age of 60, people with serious illnesses, pregnant women and children under the age of 10 are advised to stay at home.
Apart from this, separate instructions have also been issued for the priests, shopkeepers, hotel / restaurant and cleaning staff.
