BPEO building still incomplete even after 15 years

NURMAHAL:Even after 15 years block primary education office (BPEO) building at Chuheki village on the Nurmahal-Jalandhar Road is incomplete. The then Nurmahal MLA late Gurdeep Singh Bhullar persuaded village Chuheki panchayat to donate 2 kanal land to primary education department for the construction of office building as it was unable to find any land in Nurmahal town for its own office.

The then Jalandhar deputy commissioner Ajit Singh Pannu and Bhullar jointly laid the foundation stone for the construction of block primary education office building in July 2007and the government released Rs 7 lakhs for the same. Rs 3 lakhs grant was released later as the building could not be completed.

Though the building has been completed but still block primary education office has not been shifted here and it has become a place for anti-social elements and drug addicts.
