Bikram Majithia again appeared before SIT in drug case, challenges Bhagwant Mann

PATIALA: SAD leader and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia today again appeared before SIT here in the drug case registered against him. The SIT questioned Majithia for four hours. SIT was led by IGP M.S.Chhina who is retiring on December 31.

Bikram Majithia again appeared before SIT in drug case, challenges Bhagwant Mann

PATIALA: SAD leader and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia today again appeared before SIT here in the drug case registered against him. The SIT questioned Majithia for four hours. SIT was led by IGP M.S.Chhina who is retiring on December 31.

After investigation was over, Majithia said that he was no scared of investigation as there is no evidence availabe against him. He said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was directly involved in his harrassment. He asked Bhagwant Mann to himself head the SIT after retirement of M.S.Chhina. He challenged the Chief Minister to personally investigate him.

The drug case against Majithia was regstered on 30.12.2021 during the regime of former CM Charanjot Singh Channi. Majithia was arrested and later got bail from the High Court. The case was registered under sections 25, 27A and 29 of NDPC Act in state crime police station Phase 4 Mohali.

The Punjab and Haryana High Court had asked the police to reinvestigate case against Majithia and stayed his arrest. Majithia had earlier appeared before SIT on December 18. He was sumoned again on December 27 but he couldn't appear on that date.

AAP Spokesman Malwinder Singh Kang said that Punjab police was investigating the case on orders of High Court. He aded that Majithia was responsible for drug menace in Punjab. He said that all those involved in the drug racket would be brought to book.
