AMRITSAR: Virtual Corporate Interaction Lab has been inaugurated at the University School of Financial Studies of the Guru Nanak Dev University. It has been sponsored by Grasim Industries Ltd, Aditya Birla Group under its Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER)initiative. This virtual set-up is a remarkable example of collaboration between education and industry.

Dr. Bikramjit Singh Bajwa, Dean Academic Affairs was the guest of honour and Prof. (Dr.) Adarsh Pal Vig, Chairperson, Punjab Pollution Control Boardpresided as the chief guest of the event. The representatives of Aditya Birla Group, Mr. Manoj Dhadwal, Senior General Manager -Plant Head, Mr. Sandeep Kumar Sengar, Senior Manager-EHS and Mr. Mayank Pushkar, Executive -EHS graced the occasion with their presence. Dr. Harsandaldeep Kaur, Head, University School of Financial Studies gave the welcome address highlighting the significance of the new lab in shaping the educational landscape of the department.

Prof. (Dr.) Adarsh Pal Vig pressed upon the need of sustainable environment thus highlighting the importance of virtual lab in the contemporary times. Dr. Bikramjit Singh Bajwacongratulated the department for the setting up of innovative and sustainable solutions for virtual education. Dr. Balwinder Singh, Dean, Faculty of Economics and Business gave insights into the department’s vision of fostering educational innovation. He asked the industry members for interactive sessions and training of students. He also stressed that such set-upsshall benefit the students by bringing in novelty and creativity in education. Additionally, he said that the e-platforms will preserve the environment for next generations. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Aparna Bhatia, Associate Professor, University School of Financial Studies.
