Man arrested for murdering 22 years old youth

NAKODAR:The Mehat Pur police have arrested a man on the charge of murdering a 22 years old youth.The Station House Officer (SHO) Lakhvir Singh Lakhi said that the accused has been identified as Ram Lubhaya a resident of Maheru village, SHO said that the accused had murdered Rannjit Singh alias Shiva (22) resident of the same village.

Anil brother of the deceased had complained to the police that the accused who are their neighbour called his brother into their house and started beating him with sharp edged weapons on June 18 night and seriously injured him who was rushed to Mehat Pur civil hospital from where he was shifted to Jalandhar civil hospital and a private clinic where he succumbed to his injuries on June 19.He had said that the accused murdered his brother by conspiracy.

SHO said that a case under sections 302(murder) 342(wrongful confinement) 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and 148 and 149(rioting) of the IPC was registered against the accused and others.
