Malsian resident arrested for attempt to rape minor
SHAHKOT: The Shahkot police have arrested a Malsian village resident on the charge of attempt to rape a minor.

The investigating officer (IO) and Malsian police post in-charge Sanjivan Singh said that the accused has been identified as Yog Raj Singh alias Yoga Fauji a resident of Patti Haveli,Malsian village.
The victim had complained to the police that the accused kidnapped her on August 14 and took her to a secluded place and forcibly tried to rape her.
IO said that a case under sections 376(rape) 506(criminal intimidation) and 511(Punishment for attempting to commit offences punishable with imprisonment for life or other imprisonment.) of the Indian Penal Code and section ¾ of the Prevention of Children from Sexual offenses Act was registered against the accused and one Bhinda a resident of Malsian village who is still absconding.
