Yoga Day Celebrated at KCE, KCW and KCET

AMRITSAR: The International Yoga Day was celebrated at Khalsa College of Education, Ranjit Avenue, Khalsa College for Women, Khalsa College of Education, GT Road and Khalsa College of Engineering and Technology on the theme `Yoga for Self and Society, '. The students and teacher participated enthusiastically in the sessions as renowned Yoga instructor Sohan Singh Randhawa conducted the workshop, emphasizing the profound importance of Yoga for personal and societal well-being, said Principal Dr.Mandeep Kaur, adding that aim was to create awareness for unity, health, and wellness.

At Khalsa College of Education, GT Road, an online session to commemorate Yoga Day 2024, aligning with this year's theme of "Women Empowerment", was organized. The event took place on Google Meet and saw enthusiastic participation from 100 students, all eager to embrace the holistic benefits of yoga.
The various sessions commenced with an invigorating warm-up, setting the tone for a series of asanas that not only aimed at physical well-being but also emphasized inner strength and mental resilience. This was particularly significant in highlighting how yoga can serve as a powerful tool for women's empowerment, fostering both physical and emotional strength. The session concluded with a calming meditation, leaving the participants rejuvenated and centered.

The live session was well-received, with students expressing their appreciation for the comprehensive and engaging format. The interactive nature of the event was further enriched by a Yog Quiz, which tested the students' knowledge about yoga and its benefits, making the learning experience both fun and informative, said Principal, Dr. Khushvinder Kumar.
He said their endeavour to integrate traditional practices like yoga into the educational framework and incorporating yoga into daily life for enhanced well-being resonated deeply with all participants was received well.
