AMRITSAR: An employment fair was organized by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) to provide employment opportunities to the students of the colleges running under the management of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak ment Committee.
This was the first job fair of Shiromani Committee, which became a golden opportunity for students to get a job. About 25 reputed companies of India participated in this job fair organized at Gurduwara Sri Kalgidhar Niwas Sector 27 in Chandigarh and employment opportunities were provided to about 300 students. On this occasion, Shiromani Committee member Bibi Harjinder Kaur, Education Secretary Eng. Sukhminder Singh and other personalities were present.
Giving information in this regard, Shiromani Committee Secretary Education Eng: Sukhminder Singh said that the Directorate of Education under the leadership of Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, where valuable contribution is being made in religious, social and educational activities, religious examination, Quiz competitions, Has done notable work by conducting international conferences.The Shiromani Committee offers UPSC, PPSC to the students.
Arrangements have also been made to conduct the preparation of such competitive examinations absolutely free.
He said that now on the instructions of Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, to provide employment opportunities to the students who are studying in Shiromani Committee colleges, this job fair has been organized by contacting reputed companies of India, in which across the country Representatives of about 25 companies arrivedAbout 600 students from different colleges of Shiromani Committee participated in this fair, out of which about 300 students were selected for employment by different companies. A lot of enthusiasm was seen among the students towards this job fair.
He said that the aim of educational institutions of Shiromani Committee is not only to impart vocational and academic education, but also to provide adequate opportunities for employment. Along with this, it is also to make good citizens of the country by combining moral education to build the personality of the students.
