Plantation Drive held at CGC Jhanjeri Campus

MOHALI: Arsh Dhaliwal, the young Managing Director of Campus of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri campus has made efforts to take responsibility for the environment in the campus and surroundings. A few days ago a cleaning campaign was started in this area with the support of NSS, Lions Club and other NGO’s.

These volunteers went to many places in the Tri-City and carried out a clean-up campaign. Now adding to it a new link to this effort, is initiated of planting saplings.

Arsh Dhaliwal started this campaign for planting more than three hundred saplings in the campus as part of the campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘ek ped maa ke naam’. After this saplings will also be planted around the campus.Arsh Dhaliwal, while sharing his views, said that if we do not take care of the environment, then the coming generations will have to suffer its bad consequences. We have to be aware in time to preserve the environment. Therefore, by keeping surroundings clean and taking proper care of them like planting plants, we can save the deteriorating environment and balance can be maintained. Appreciating the sapling campaign by the NSS wing, he encouraged all the students to participate in this campaign with more zeal.

Rachpal Singh Dhaliwal, President of CGC Group, while appreciating Arsh Singh Dhaliwal's leadership in this initiative, said that it reflects his commitment to environmental sustainability and community welfare. He said that this initiative of Arsh Dhaliwal should continue to promote environment-friendly practices, setting an example for educational institutions across the country. On this occasion, the staff of Jhanjeri campus also took a pledge to plant saplings around their houses being a part of this campaign.
