KCVAS Signs Pact with Canadian Niagara Pet Hospital

AMRITSAR: Dr. Harish Verma, Principal, Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (KCVAS), Amritsar, has signed a three-year extendable to five years Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Niagara Pet Hospital, a renowned private institution in Ontario, Canada owned by Dr. P K Verma. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Mridula Verma, Manager of Niagara Pet Hospital, and Dr. S.K. Nagpal, Managing Director of KCVAS, Amritsar.

This international partnership is poised to bring numerous benefits, including enhanced educational and research opportunities. The students and faculty will gain access to advanced educational resources and collaborative research projects across borders, said Principal Dr.Verma.

He said the improved pet care practices will be shared and resources from both countries will lead to the development of innovative solutions for common challenges in veterinary science, apart from strengthened academic-practical ties: The collaboration will bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical application in veterinary care on a global scale, said Dr.Verma

He called the agreement as a significant milestone in the journey towards advancing veterinary science and pet care. The potential of this international collaboration, he said, promises a positive impact on the veterinary fraternity and animal owners alike. The partnership aims to foster mutual growth between the two institutions by promoting awareness, teaching, and research activities.
