Intl conference on Smart Generation Computing at RBU.

MOHALI: The first international conference on `Smart Generation Computing and Communication Networks’ organized by University School of Computing drew massive participation from scholars and experts both from across the country and abroad.

On the inaugural day of the two-day conference, which concluded today, Joseph Jude, Chief Technology Officer, Net Solutions, was the Chief Guest while Abhineet Anand, Dean of CSE, Bahra University, Shimla Hills, and Dr Mala Kalra, Assistant Professor in Department of CSE, NITTR, were the keynote speakers. Dr RV Siva Balan, Associate Professor CS, CHRIST, Yeswanthpur Campus, Nagasandra, Bangalore, chaired the session.

Dr Anand Shukla, Dean of University School of Computing welcomed the delegates and briefed them about the conference highlighting that such conferences provide a common platform for technocrats, scientist, academia and research scholars to discuss and share ingenious ideas, technical expertise, research finding related science and technological field.

The chief guest Joseph Jude, Chief Technology Officer, Net Solutions, addressed the audience by improvising the need of a conference in shaping research practices.

Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra of Rayat Bahra University, who was Chief Patron of the conference, said that technology plays a vital role in today’s world. He underlined the importance of constant updating of technical knowledge in new research areas which he said was necessary for the academic growth of oneself.

On the concluding day Subhajit Bhattacharya, Associate Vice-President, Accenture, was the Chief Guest and Shital Kundra, Professor Department of AI and Data Science, GNIT, Ibrahimpatnam, Hyderabad, chaired the session. Subhajit Bhattacharya, Associate Vice-President, Accenture, also shared his insights on the topic, emphasizing the significance of evolving technologies in driving innovation and fostering collaboration within the industry.

Dr Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Rayat Bahra University, expressed happiness over the success of the international conference and said he was optimistic that deliberations at the conference would prove to be immensely helpful to the participating delegates and experts.Gurinder singh Bahra vice -chairman , Dean Academic Dr S K Bansal were also present .
