CHANDIGARH:  Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today condemned the attempts of the Aam Aadmi Party government to silence and intimidate the Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa for flagging the security concerns in the state.

“Don’t shoot the messenger, Mann Sahab. Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa is a responsible leader holding a constitutional position. If he has shared some information, you should use your police and intelligence to utilise it and follow it up”, he told the Chief Minister, while observing, “instead, you are trying to intimidate him”. The issue he (Bajwa) has flagged is real, he said, while pointing out, so many grenade attacks have taken place and the AAP government is clueless. “Height of it is that you are now launching a witch-hunt, which is not only unacceptable but highly condemnable”, he told the AAP government.

Warring also referred to some leading newspaper reports, which had mentioned that a certain number of grenades which had allegedly been smuggled in were still missing.

Besides, he pointed out, another newspaper revealed that some quantity of RDX had been recovered in the Subhanpur area on Kapurthala-Jalandhar road.

He urged the Chief Minister to ask his officials to read the newspapers instead of going for witch-hunt against his political opponents, like the Leader of Opposition, for trying to wake him up.mple interest rate on the outstanding amount as per rules issued from time to time and restoration charges at 2.5% of the reserve rate for 2025-26. He mentioned that this policy provides complete exemption from penal interest.

Dr. Ravjot Singh informed that to avail benefits under this policy, allottees must ensure they send their request to the concerned Improvement Trust manually or via email by July 31, 2025 and are obligated to deposit the outstanding amount at the concerned Improvement Trust by December 31, 2025.

The Local Government Minister further said that implementation of this policy will not only improve the financial condition of Improvement Trusts through collection of outstanding amounts but will also eliminate public complaints and unwanted litigation.
