Two Killed in Bus-Scooter Collision

PHAGWARA: Two Scooterists were killed on the spot in a Bus-Scooter Collision on Nakodar-Jalandhar Road today.

A tragic accident occurred on the Nakodar-Jalandhar road near Munda village, where a Punjab Roadways bus collided with a scooter, killing both riders on the spot. The victims have been identified as Santokh Singh, , and Sukhdev Singh, both residents of Shamshabad village near Nurmahal.

The reports received here, the deceased were heading to Jalandhar to get medicine when the accident took place. As they reached the main road near Munda village, a Punjab Roadways bus coming from Nakodar hit their scooter due to alleged negligence by the bus driver. The collision was so severe that both Scooterists died on the spot.

ASI Kulwinder Singh, along with a police team, reached the spot, impounded the bus, and sent the bodies to the civil hospital for post-mortem. ASI Kulwinder Singh stated that a case has been registered against the bus driver, Kulwinder Singh, a resident of Rajia village in Barnala district, at the Sadar police station.
