AMRITSAR: Sikh leader of Punjab Bhartiya Janta Party and media panelist Prof. Sarchand Singh Khaila has strongly criticized the Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal's use of the name of Sri Akal Takht Sahib to emotionally incite the Sikh community to clash with the Central Government on the issue of the Bandi Singhs.
They have expressed deep concern over political leaders taking their rhetoric towards partners to the extreme.
Prof. Sarchand Singh has appealed to the government to take immediate action to implement the release of Davinder Pal Singh Bhullar and Bhai Gurdeep Singh Khaira.
He said that Sikh political prisoners have spent a long time in jails. The Bandi Singhs who were freed there did not come out and did anything that caused the country society to worry. It is not right to keep anyone in jail for 28 years. They should be released on humanitarian basis so that they can be freed from mental stress.
Prof. Bhullar and Bhai Khaira's health is not good. They are in dire need of good treatment.
Prof. Sarchand Singh said that it will not be useful for the Akali leadership to curse the Center for no reason to hide their mistakes and weaknesses. He said that Akali workers are certainly helpless, but they have understood every trick of the leadership.
Prof. Sarchand Singh said that in the case of Bandi Singhs, Bhai Rajoana has exposed the double character, dishonesty and trickery of the Akali leadership in his letter. Bhai Rajoana exposed the truth about the Akali leadership deceiving the Sikh community by colluding with the Congress rulers who oppressed the innocent Sikhs. They are disappointed with the Khanapurti used by the Akali leadership in the case of the Bandi Singhs. That is why they have been asked to apologize to the Sanmukh Panth of Sri Akal Takht Sahib for deliberately neglecting their national duties.
