AMRITSAR: Baba Balbir Singh 96 crori Head of Shiromani Panth Akali Budha Dal said that they will not allow Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj to take charge of Jathedar Takht Sri Kes Garh Sahib tomorrow. He appealed all Nihang jathas to reach Anandpur Sahib toorrow.
In a video message on social media he asked Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee to reconsider his decision about removal of Jathedars.
In a video released by Baba Balbir Singh said that 15 to 20 years from now, there is a demand for setting rules with the consent of the Khalsa Panth regarding the appointment and retirement of Jathedars. Why were rules not made in this regard?
He said that the decision to pardon Gurmeet Singh Ram Rahim was also wrong, then due to the opposition of the Sangat, it was withdrawn by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. Therefore, we collectively demand that this decision be withdrawn immediately. Jathedars Raghbir Singh and Sultan Singh should be allowed to serve at Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib Sri Anandpur Sahib as before.
