CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria today extended heartfelt greetings to all Punjabis living in country and abroad on the eve of Ambedkar Jayanti.
In his message, on the birth Anniversary of Baba Sahib, Shri Kataria said that Baba Sahib always envisaged Indian Solutions to Indian problems in keeping with the interests and the needs of our people. His contribution in drafting the Constitution of the world’s biggest democracy is unique. Baba Sahib’s entire life was dedicated to achieve the objectives of social justice, equality and emancipation of poor and down trodden.
Baba Sahib's empowerment of the powerless was exemplary. His stress on inclusion for the poor and marginalized has always been an inspiration to us, said Shri Kataria. He also said that Dr. Ambedkar's ideas taught us that economic empowerment and enterprise go a long way in bringing about socio-economic empowerment.
The Governor appealed to the people to celebrate Ambedkar Jayanti in the best spirit of truth and equality.
