Famous Singers Mohammad Irshad and Meet Kaur Mesmerize Audience with Their Artistry
PHAGWARA: The Kapurthala Heritage Festival 2025 commenced with great pomp and show at local Guru Nanak Stadium. Deputy Commissioner Mr. Amit Kumar Panchal inaugurated the festival by lighting the ceremonial lamps.
He stated that the Kapurthala Heritage Festival 2025, organized by the Punjab Government with the aim of showcasing the state’s rich heritage, will prove to be a guiding path. He further added that special efforts will be made to develop Kapurthala, famously known as the "Paris of Punjab, " as a tourism hub.
During the heritage festival, renowned singers Mohammad Irshad and Meet Kaur showcased their artistic talents, Through their Sufi renditions, both artists captivated the audience, holding them spellbound.
Prior to this, a documentary film highlighting Kapurthala’s heritage was screened, which received enthusiastic appreciation from the viewers.
In the daytime cultural program, students from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Masitan and Lyallpur Khalsa College presented various facets of cultural diversity. Additionally, a Dhadhi Jatha led by Gurjit Singh also performed .
On this occasion, notable attendees included Chairperson of the District Planning Board Lalit Saklani, ADC Phagwara Dr. Akshita Gupta , ADC Navneet Kaur Bal , ADC Development Varinderpal Singh Bajwa , Science Technology Board member Kanwar Iqbal Singh, , Joint Secretary Parvinder Singh Dhot along with a large number of spectators.
