AMRITSAR: Strongly condemning the tragic incident which took place inside Sri Darbar Sahib during Rahiras Sahib yesterday, Patron of Shiromani Akali Dal United Jathedar Ranjit Singh Brahmpura said that the ongoing incidents of indecency in different districts of India are the result of a deep conspiracy.
Now that the government has not been able to do justice to these heinous acts of indecency, then the Sikh community has begun to do justice on its own.
Mr. Karnail Singh Peermohammad, General Secretary of the party, Mr. Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, Senior Leader of Shiromani Akali Dal United and Khadur Sahib, Former MLA of the party have issued a statement saying, this should be seriously investigated by the government under pressure from the Sikh leadership so that such unfortunate incidents do not happen in future.
No Sikh can tolerate disrespect to his Guru because of the fact that the accused have escaped being called insane and justice has not been done. That is why it is a natural phenomenon for them to do so in anger which will also teach a lesson to the perpetrators of such crimes.
Mr. Ravinder Singh Brahmpura and Mr. Karnail Singh Peermohammad raised very serious questions and said that it was up to them to consider which political party was responsible for these incidents of indecency.
This is a communal thinking mentality which we need to understand well and maintain communal harmony.
He appealed to the SGPC to impart martial arts training to its task force so that any mischievous miscreant could be apprehended immediately.
Meanwhile Sant Giani Harnam Singh Khalsa, Head of Damdami Taksal and President of Sant Samaj strongly condemned the attempt of disrespect of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib and Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and the failure of governments to punish the culprits.
He said that the failure of the Central and State Governments to take concrete action against the perpetrators of indecency has only increased the morale of the accused to the extent that they have already descreated Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib and now Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib.
He commended the SGPC employees and sangats present at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib for taking the bold step of correcting the accused person.
He said that daily incidents of indecency in Punjab and outside Punjab have made the hearts of Nanak Naam Leva Sangat extremely sad.
He appealed to the governments to expose the working forces behind the indecency and ensure strict punishment for the culprits and bring in strict laws if required.
He said that the Sikh struggle which had been going on since 1978 which thousands of Sikh youth had to make sacrifices. Hundreds remained locked up in jail cells.
He said that in order to thwart the ongoing conspiracies of indecency till date.
He appealed the sangats and Sikh organizations to come together under one banner and take strict action after serious deliberations.
He also asked to be aware of the conspiracies of Panth Dokhis to incite such descreation future.
