CHANDIGARH: Punjab Government has appointed Harjit Singh as Director/Generation, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) for two years. He succeds Param Jit Singh whose term expired on September 30 this year.
Harjit Singh a technically competent and honest engineer selected for the job of Director generation by the Punjab government.
Harjit Singh has vast experience in the thermal and hydel generation. He retired as engineer-in chief from PSPCL after serving the department for 35 years. He worked in generation in different capacities in the field of design, construction , operation and maintenance in Thermal plants and Hydel power stations. As engineer-in chief he was OSD to CMD PSPCL assisting CMD in matters related to Fuel, O&M of Thermal/ Hydel Power Stations in Generation Wing.
As Chief Engineer Hydel, I was looking after Construction works of 206 MW Shahpur Kandi Project, in addition to Design, Renovation & Modernisation and Operation & Maintenance works of all Hydel Projects of PSPCL including Civil works of these projects
