Batala Police demolished the house of drug smuggler

BATALA: Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Chief Minister Punjab, taking action against drug smugglers under the campaign ‘War on Drugs’, today the Batala Police demolished the house of drug smuggler Jeevan Kumar, son of Gulshan Kumar, resident of Gandhi Nagar Camp Batala, using JCB machines.

Talking to reporters on this occasion, SSP Batala, Suhail Qasim Mir said that three cases have been registered against drug smuggler Jeevan Kumar under the NDPS Act. He said that it is clear from the charges against him and his case history that he has been involved in the drug trafficking business for a long time.

The SSP warned the drug traffickers that anyone involved in any illegal activity will not be spared and strict action will be taken against him. He said that this action will continue until the people involved in the drug trade come into the mainstream or they leave Punjab and go outside Punjab.

The SSP further said that there are very clear instructions from the Chief Minister, Bhagwant Singh Mann and DGP Mr. Gaurav Yadav that strict action should be taken against anyone involved in the drug trafficking business.

The SSP further said that it is very important for us to take care of our children, our youth, who destroy their lives with the help of drugs due to the vile acts of these traffickers.

On this occasion, Tejinderpal Singh Goraya DSP (H), Harish Bahl DSP, Narcotic Cell, SHOs and other senior police officers were also present on the spot.
