PHAGWARA: A 20-year-old youth was killed in an accident. In another incident, a woman died in an accident caused by stray cattle.
Investigating officer (IO)Jagtar Singh said that the deceased had been identified as Gaurav (20) a resident of Sahem village under Nakodar Sadar police station.
Raveena sister of the deceased told the police that her brother was driving his motorcycle and suddenly fell on the road and died due to head injury.
IO said that police acting under section 194 of the BNSS handed over the body to the family after the post-mortem.(EOM)
The woman victim has been identified as Kaushaliya a resident of Talwann village.
Navdeep Gadu a resident of Talwann village told the police that his father Baldev Raj and his mother Kaushaliya were travelling on the motor motorcycle to reach home.
He said when they reached Poadharra village suddenly stray cattle came on the road and his father tried to save him, but the motorcycle collided with a combine parked on the roadside both were seriously injured and rushed to DMC Ludhiana, but his mother died on the way.
IO said the police acting under section 194 of the BNSS handed over the body to the family after the post-mortem.
