Panchayat Election Results Pave Way for 2027 Victory: Dhaliwal

AJNALA: Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal declared that the recent Panchayat election results have set the stage for the Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) triumph in the 2027 Punjab Vidhan Sabha elections.
Addressing the Fateh Sanman Divas ceremony, Dhaliwal stated that the people of Punjab have endorsed the AAP government's policies under Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann's leadership. He stated that I have done ₹325 crore works in Ajnala's development over two and a half years and said that Punjab's Chief Minister released ₹2400 crore for road construction, with Ajnala receiving ₹60 crore.
Dhaliwal urged Panchas and Sarpanches to work for the people. Cabinet Minister S. Harbhajan Singh ETO congratulated the winning panchayats, saying their victory has silenced opponents who doubted AAP's village-level presence.
- MLA S. Inderbir Singh Nizar advised Panch Sarpanches to prioritize environmental protection, stubble management, and village development.
- Mrs. Amandeep Kaur Dhaliwal emphasized the importance of not imitating previous governments and instead focusing on empowering villagers through awareness of their rights.
A booklet titled Panchayat Prakash was released to inform Panchas and Sarpanches about their rights and legal processes.
Dhaliwal's statement comes amid the AAP's significant gains in the recent Panchayat elections, with 155 panchayats formed with the party's support in Ajnala constituency. Mr Ashok talwar, Talbir Singh, Chairman Jaspreet Singh, Iqbal Singh Bhullar, Baldev Singh Maidan, Gursharan Singh Chhina, Baljinder Singh Thande also present here.
