Haryana Workers and Farmers Called up on the People to Oust Pro-Corporate BJP from Power

HISAR: The joint worker- farmer mahapanchayat of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha and the Joint Platform of Central Trade Unions in Haryana adopted resolution and called upon the people to oust BJP from power in the scheduled Assembly Election on 5th October 2024.

This panchayat organized in the grain market of Hisar was chaired by the presidium of the organisations of farmers, workers and employees of Haryana state.

The Mahapanchayat was also addressed by Jogendra Singh Ugrahan, P Krishnaprasad, Rajan Kshirasagar of Samyukta Kisan Morcha, AR Sindhu from CTU's.

All the speakers condemned the repression on farmers and workers for the last 5 years under the BJP led State Government. BJP led Union Government adopted 3 Farm Acts to corporatise agriculture and 4 Labor Codes to enslave the workers denying minimum wage and 8 hours work. BJP stood for privatisation of Public Sector Units and handed them over to big corporate houses. Unemployment is at its peak after the independence and brutal attacks have been made on the livelihood of the common man through price rise and footless migration.

The policies of the BJP led State Govt. of Haryana made the highest records of repression on legitimate movements. Everyone has seen the action of terrible repression on the farmer movement, workers movement, employee movement. Anganwadi, ASHA workers, employees, teachers, even village sarpanches were not spared.

736 farmers have been martyred in the repression on the farmers' movement. This repression cannot be forgotten. The people of Haryana have been held hostage for months.

The ten years rule of BJP denied the main demands of legal guarantee of purchase of all crops at MSP for farmers, loan waiver, minimum salary of Rs 26, 000 for workers, recruitment for permanent jobs, regularization of temporary employees including scheme workers, 200 days of work and Rs 600 daily wages in MNREGA, restoration of old pension scheme for employees, abolition of anti-people provisions in the Bharathiya Nyaya Samhitha BNS- and end repression on the worker-farmer movements.These demands will also be further raised prominently in the upcoming assembly elections.

The Mahapanchayath decided to conduct Worker-Farmer Panchayat in all the villages and towns of the state to defeat the BJP on 17th September 2024. It will be followed by House to House Campaign to distribute leaflets.

Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Jayanti on 28 September will be celebrated as Anti-Corporate, Anti- Imperialist Day. On this day, seminars, symposia will be held and Torchlight Processions in the evening.

The Mahapanchayat demanded strict action against criminals unleashing violent murderous attack on minorities and common people in the name of cow protection. The Mahapanchayanth accused the BJP led State Government for protecting such murderers.

On this occasion, All India Kisan Sabha, CITU Haryana, BKU Ekta Ugraha, Pagdi Sambhal Jatta, Kisan Sabha Ajay Bhawan, BKU (Tikait), INTUC, BKU Ghasi Ram Nain, AITUC, Sarva Karamchari Sangh, Bharatiya Kisan Sangharsh Samiti, Rashtriya Kisan Manch, Haryana Kisan Manch, Bharatiya Kisan Kamgar Adhikar Morcha, Kisan Mahasabha, AIKKMS, Rural Labour Assembly, All India Farm Labour Union, Revolutionary Farmers Union, AIUTUC, Minority Welfare Society, and dozens of other organizations were present.
