MOHALI: The University School of Physiotherapy and Radiology, Rayat Bahra University celebrated its First Foundation Day cum Alumni Meet. Vinod Chauhan, Chairperson of the State Allied & Healthcare Council, Himachal Pradesh, Shimla, was the Chief Guest.
Chancellor of Rayat Bahra University Gurvinder Singh Bahra, who is also Chairman of Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions and Bahra Hospital, extended his wishes to the alumni.
Dr SK Bansal, Dean, Academics, Dr Pankaj Kaul, Dean, University School of Allied Health Sciences, USAHS, played key advisory roles in other the event. Over 250 delegates, including alumni, faculty, and students participated in the celebrations.
Chief Guest Vinod Chauhan, in his address, focused on the importance of strong regulatory frameworks and continuing education in ensuring safe and ethical practices in medical imaging and allied health fields.
He emphasised how collaborative platforms like alumni meets could help bridge the academic and clinical sectors, benefitting both professionals and students alike.
Dr Lalit Kumar Gupta, Dean of the University School of Physiotherapy & Radiology and Organising Chairperson of the event, in his inaugural address extended heartfelt gratitude to the dignitaries, alumni, and students for their presence and contributions.
The event also featured captivating cultural performances by the students, adding colour, energy, and emotion to the day.
The event concluded with a vote thanks by Divya, Assistant Professor, University School of Physiotherapy and Radiology (USPR).
