MOHALI: The NSS Club and Rotaract Club of Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology Phase 2, Mohali organized a Sanitary Pads Distribution Drive at Jagatpura village, aiming to promote menstrual hygiene awareness and support women's health in the rural community.
The initiative, generously sponsored by the Rotary Club of Silvercity Mohali, RID 3080, saw enthusiastic participation from 26 students (19 girls and 7 boys) of GJIMT. The students, especially the girls, distributed sanitary pads to local women and girls while spreading awareness about the importance of menstrual hygiene.
The event received strong community support, with Kuldeep Singh Dhanoa, the acting Sarpanch of Vill Jagatpura, playing a crucial role in coordinating on-ground activities. Dr. Aneet, Director of GJIMT, praised the students and faculty for their commitment to societal welfare, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in creating a meaningful impact. This drive is part of the ongoing efforts of GJIMT's NSS and Rotaract Clubs to address critical social issues and foster community development.
