AMRITSAR: The students of Khalsa College for Women have made the college proud by winning the trophy as the overall second runners-up in the Zonal Youth Fair held at Zone A of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
In this regard, the principal Dr. Surinder Kaur appreciated the tireless efforts of the students, Dean of Youth Welfare Ravinder Kaur and all the staff for the said achievement and said that in the competitions held during the Yuvak Mela, the college won the first place in the folk song, kwishri, group Shabad, henna and classical dance competitions. She said that the name of the college has been brightened by getting the second place in Giddha, Group Song, Song, Ghazal, War, Rangoli, Debate, Skit, Classical Vocal (Solo), Cartooning, Photography and Quiz competitions. He said that while mime, mimicry, play, costume parade, on the spot painting, installation, western vocal (solo), western group song, group dance, elocution got the third position.
