CHANDIGARH: A Ludhiana-based NGO Atam Pargas has taken an initiative to provide succour and support to the families of the martyrs from the Farmers’ Protest. Their 25 teams have already started reaching out to these families to make an on-ground assessment of their situation.
So far they have met 129 families and decided on what assistance needs to be extended to them. Each of these families has been assigned a coordinator who stays in touch with them and is instrumental in bringing them the required aid. The aid includes arranging employment for the family, supporting education of their children, and medical assistance.
