Non-resident Indians' properties will not be allowed to be encroached upon
AMRITSAR: Cabinet Minister for NRI Affairs . Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, who had reached Daburji yesterday to specially talk to the family regarding the attack on the family of a NRI, said in very clear words that it is our duty to protect the properties of the NRI brothers and their families and action will be taken against the officials who are negligent in this.
He said that when I came to know about this incident from the media, I immediately reached this family and after coming here I came to know that it has been five to six days since this incident happened. The family has also filed a complaint with the concerned police station chief in this regard but he has not taken any action yet.
He said that I will write a letter to the Commissioner of Police and the Punjab Government in this regard that such a police station chief who cannot listen to the people should not be given the responsibility of any police station.
He said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, by taking action against the top officers of the Punjab Police yesterday, has made it clear that the government is accountable to the people and strict action will be taken against any officer who neglects the rights of the people and his duties.
He also assured the said family that strict action will be taken against the people who attacked you and you will be brought to justice.
