Vet Varsity organizes Placement Drive for Aspiring Veterinarians

LUDHIANA: The Placement Cell of the College of Veterinary Science, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana successfully organized an on-campus placement drive exclusively designed for graduating veterinary students. The grand event attracted over 150 students.

The placement drive attracted renowned veterinary hospital chains such as Crown Vet., Max Pet Z, Vetic Pet Care, CGS Hospital, Dr. Synghal Pet Care, Pupkitt Pet Care, and Saife Vetmed. Additionally, pharmaceutical companies like Virbac India Pvt. Ltd., Ek-tek Pharma, Carus, and Britannia, as well as feed industry representatives from Aman Feeds and milk cooperatives from Baani Milk Producers Company Ltd. and Progressive Dairy Society (PDS), participated in the event.

Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice-Chancellor personally visited the mega drive and engaged with recruiters and students. He underlined the significance of this on-campus placement drive for Veterinary Institute, noting that it has established a precedent for other universities to emulate. Emphasizing the importance of tailored placement events for specialized professions such as Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Gill underscored the benefits of this initiative for students and the strengthening of collaboration between academia and industry. This collaboration ensures a smooth transition for graduates into the workforce.

Dr. Swaran Singh Randhawa, Director of Clinics informed that students from both college of Veterinary Science, Ludhiana and Rampura Phul participated in this drive. This on-campus placement drive marks a significant milestone in our commitment to preparing our graduates for successful careers in veterinary medicine, he added.

Dr. S.P.S. Ghuman, Dean, College of Veterinary Science, expressed great enthusiasm regarding the successful execution of the event. He said that the overwhelming response from industry leaders serves as a testament to the exceptional quality of education and training that our students receive.

Participating students shared their positive experiences and appreciated the vision of university authorities. The in-charge placement cell, comprising Dr. Nitin Mehta and Dr. Gitesh Saini coordinated the entire placement drive and expressed gratitude to all the recruiters for their unwavering participation.
