AMRITSAR: The body of Harmanjot Singh, son of late Kulwant Singh, a 23-year-old youth from village Lakhan Ke Padda, Kapurthala district, who had gone to England about a year and a half ago in the hope of a bright future, reached Sri Guru Ramdas International Airport here this morning.
His relatives and Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, through whose efforts the deceased reached India, reached the airport to receive him.
Expressing deep grief with the family, Dhaliwal said that efforts will also be made to complete the investigation into the causes of this death in collaboration with the English government, so that the mystery of the death can be revealed.
It is worth mentioning that young Harmanjot was found unconscious under suspicious circumstances in the city of Halifax West Yorkshire (Bradford) in England last February, and died during treatment in the hospital.
Mr. Dhaliwal said that it is a very sad moment for us, when we see the youth who have gone to foreign lands to fulfill the dreams of the family and in the hope of a better future, but due to some reason they die.
He said that the mountain of sorrow that falls on the family due to this cannot be described in words.
He said that let us all work together to make Punjab so prosperous that we do not have to go abroad to earn money.
