AMRITSAR: District-level oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Panchs will be held on Tuesday, November 19 at Guru Nanak Stadium here.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Ms. Paramjit Kaur presided over a meeting convened to take stock of the arrangements ahead of the swearing-in ceremony at the district level.
She said that on this occasion, Cabinet Minister Mr Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal will perform the ceremony by taking oath to the newly elected Panchs.
On this occasion, DCP Law and Order Alam Vijay Singh , District Development and Panchayat Officer Sandeep Malhotra , District Mandi Officer Mr Amandeep Singh , Axion Mandeep Singh and other officials of various departments were present.
She said that adequate arrangements should be made for this prestigious event. The officials instructed that no stone should be left unturned to make this district-level oath-taking ceremony a success.
She issued instructions to the concerned officials to ensure timely completion of all ongoing arrangements.
She instructed the task force officer that special attention should be paid to the cleanliness of the venue.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner instructed the officials of the concerned departments to make adequate arrangements for drinking water, cleanliness of toilets , RG toilets , uninterrupted power supply , medical facilities etc. The police officers were instructed to ensure the security of the event venue, smooth traffic arrangements, etc.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner appealed to the Panchs participating in the event and said that they should park their vehicles at Pitex Ground E Block Ranjit Avenue and from there they will be brought to the venue by shuttle buses from the district administration.. The truth will be known only after the post-mortem of the dead body. The matter of threat will also be investigated.
