AMRITSAR: Former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal broke the silence of almost three months by submitting a letter at the Akal Takht Sahib Secretariat and demanded an early consideration of his case.

This letter of Badal was received by Gurvel Singh, a clerk posted at the Akal Takht Sahib Secretariat.
In his letter, Badal while addressing the Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib said that it has been more than two and a half months since you declared him as Tankhiya.

As a humble servant, keeping in mind the dignity of Takht Sahib, I have kept myself away from panthic, political and social engagements. But today the Sikh Panth and Punjab are facing huge challenges. Das at this time is unable to help in such dire situations even if he wants to.

He wrote that Punjab and the work of Shiromani Akali Dal, the representative organization of the sect, is also being heavily affected. Therefore, Das today, as a humble servant, once again appeared before Sri Akal Takht Sahib and reiterated that after calling a meeting of the Panj Singh Sahbans, I requested to impose whatever order is to be imposed by Sri Akal Takht Sahib according to Gur-Maryada.

On this occasion Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema, Rosi Barkandi, Bunty Romana, Sher Singh Mandwala General Secretary Shiromani Committee were also present with him.
