AMRITSAR: Shiromani Panth Akali Buddha Dal Chief Jathedar Baba Balbir Singh Akali 96 crori said that it is clear from the attacks on the police stations taking place in Punjab that the law and order situation in Punjab is deteriorating which is worrisome.
He said that for several days, various police stations of Punjab are being attacked in a deadly manner. A terrorist attack took place on a police post in Gurdaspur district along the India-Pakistan border. This is the 7th attack in the state in 26 days.
On November 24, an attempt was made to attack the RDX outside Ajnala police station. In this case, 2 accused have been arrested by the police. On 27th November, a grenade was blasted in the closed police station in Gurbakhsh Nagar. After this, on December 2, there was a grenade blast in the Kathgarh police station of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. On December 4, a grenade explosion occurred in Majitha police station. Similarly, there have been attacks on different police stations on 13 and 17 December.
He said that the question arises that suddenly the police stations of Punjab are becoming the target of these terrorist incidents.
He said that there is an increase in the number of people with criminal background, robberies, robberies, murders and drug addiction are on the rise.
In a written press note issued by Diljit Singh Bedi, Jathedar Baba Balbir Singh Akali 96 crori said that this is also raising questions on the security arrangements of the police system.
It should not be forgotten that Punjab has also suffered the consequences of being a border province many times. Punjab has lost a lot in the black era. Where it is the responsibility of the state government to tighten the security arrangements of its region at its own level, it is the central government and its investigative agencies. They should also strengthen the security system of Punjab so that such questions do not arise in the minds of the people that those who protect the people are not themselves safe.
