GURDASPUR: Punjab Police has arrested Parkash Singh son of former SAD minister Sucha Singh Langah during a raid in a house in Dhariwal and recovered heroin from the house. Two more persons were also arrested.
Sucha Singh Langah has been excommunicated from Sikh community after a CD of his sexual relations with a woman constable had gone viral. Though he was acquitted in criminal case after the woman took back her statement given to police.
Nanak Singh SSP Gurdaspur said that they had tip off about certain persons coming to deliver heroin to Rajesh Kumar in Dhariwal town. Police raided the house and nabbed Parkash Singh alongwith Rajesh Kumar, Aditya Mahajan, Kunal and Sudhir Singh.
On checking 8 gram heroin was recovered from Mahajan, 2.5 and 2 gram heroin was recovered from Kunal and Sudhir. The other two were consuming heroin. A case against all of them was registered under NDPC Act. Police is investigating the case to unearth whole network.
Langah said it was conspiracy against him and his son is innocent since no drugs were recovered from his possession.
